Question by casey l: I am looking to start my own small business – used & new children’s clothing & accessories store & need advice
I am almost 23. I have been in retail since I was 14. I currently manage my families campground, but eventually want to own my own children’s clothing store (new & used- or maybe just new- not sure yet). I went to college for fashion merchandising and right now I work part time in a children’s clothing store to gain some extra experience. Is it best to take out a business loan to start the business up or better to have the money saved up before hand? Should I start the business out of my home first or lease a building in a high traffic area? Any advice will be helpful! Thanks!

Answer by Hayseedless To answer the questions…Advantages of a business loan is you can keep your cash (your assets) in the bank; I would suggest going that route if you can as you will need six to twelve months (or more) living expenses on hand…Best to start out of your home but space is gonna become a problem very soon.
Bottom line…write up a business plan to–one, guide yourself through the short range and long range goals, and two, you will need to present to banks or potential partners or investors in hopes of the loan or assistance…

Well, when she first arrives at Abby Mount she wears pink skinny jeans + a black top with a white and blue jacket on top. But basically the best thing to do is look around stores and try and find clothes that match or sorta look like hers. She wears alot of accessories too. So just go in jewlerey shops and buy necklaces and braclets and Im sure you’ll be ready to go. x
